Celtic Woman-More Than Just Wonderful Voices

The troup's exceptional singing and marvelous arrangements on television performances, having seen John Primer, were what I went anticipating. Meeting, nay-exceeding, rather high expectations, they did not fail. The other production value elements that carried the performance from the merely terrific into the realms of truly exceptional were what came as a well appreciated surprise, especially the lighting and choreography. One misstep... on many occasions, the orchestral accompaniment was obviously canned (after all, they can't travel with a full 30-40 piece orchestra), but that called into question how much of the rest of the "live performance" might have been pre-recorded. Watching the rather manic prancing about by the fiddle player whilst "playing" exceptional intricate fiddle passages, this question especially came to mind. Overall, though, a sensational evening's entertainment that really delivers your money's worth.
